November 2009
We came back that evening he had a heart attack on the stairs, Jeff called the vet and said we were bringing him down. I sat with him on my lap and cried it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do and it was even harder for Jeff they had been together 13 ½ years. I had only known Cosmo for 5 weeks but had grown to love him very much, such a little dog with a huge heart that his body could hold on to no longer. How the vet does that job I don’t know? But I do know that we all have different skills to help one another when needed. We brought Cosmo back with us as we planned to bury him in the garden. We hardly slept much that night but we both had Cosmo in our dreams! When we looked at the photos, which I have added you will see that there are many orbs around him and us that night, we knew we were not alone. I emailed everyone and thanked them for their loving thoughts. So thank you all once again and I know many of you cried for him as well! We buried him on the Saturday morning and Jeff did a lovely blessing for him, even as I typed this the tears were flowing. The house was deadly quiet for a while especially when we came back from an evening out, but that is easing now and he often appears in our dreams. I wonder did Cosmo wait for me to come over knowing that Jeff would be OK and he was free to leave. On a happier note Jeff has taken me to some lovely places; 0ne was to a place called North Stradbroke Island first we went by water taxi, then on a bus to the other side of the island where there is a lookout point for Dolphins and Whales.
We were lucky enough to see 7 Dolphins swim by that day the whales were too far in the distance you could only see the water spouting from their blowholes but not the Whales. Stradbroke is a beautiful Island we walked the Coastal path which had spectacular views and then we went for a swim and lazed on the beach. We even saw 3 Kangaroos jumping by; boy can they move I reckon 60 miles an hour! In the week we had been having a clear out in cupboards and on Sunday morning we set off to Logan Recycling Market where you dump all your bits and bobs that you no longer need in marked bays! Well what an education that was! Right in the middle area is the recycling market it has a 6’ wire fence all round it where you can stand and look through each bay is full of pushchairs, prams, bikes, flower pots, clothes, computers, furniture etc etc. The gates open at 10am and items are charged at a very low cost and the money goes to Lady Mayoress’s nominated charities, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised this way. When we went there were about 300 people waiting to go through the gates to get a bargain! They even have a ‘Big Aussie swap day’ maximum of 3 items per person! I didn’t have my camera on me that day but will go again and add some pictures to show you later!
That night I dreamt I was with Jeff standing amongst the Glasshouse Mountains and watching a spaceship coming out of one the Glasshouse Mountains! To find ourselves at the Glasshouse Mountains the next day is a story in itself. We were heading for the Sunshine Coast to visit Beechmere Gardens a private 5 acre native garden for their annual open day, but we missed the turning too busy talking and carried onto Caloundra Beach (Southern Tip of the Sunshine Coast) well it turned out it was market day in the main street, two sections of the main road are closed both sides of the street have trees forming a canopy over the street to provide shade it reminded me of Oxford or Cambridge, we wandered amongst the stall holders eating honey roasted macadamia nuts yummy along with fresh sorbet ice cream even yummier. You have to eat the ice cream fast here because they melt in minutes due to the warmth. Sorry not rubbing it in again! I told Jeff my dream and he said Glasshouses Mountains were very close but you never know with these Australian’s when they say “Oh, it’s just down the road”. You have to say “how many hours is that then”; they don’t talk in miles or kilometers. It’s how many hours to get from A to B obviously if he/she is a lead foot (a term used for a person who doesn’t take their foot off the accelerator) then you are there a lot quicker so I suggest you ask a few Aussies the same question that way you can get a clearer picture between a Sunday driver and a lead foot as to how long it will take to get there. We drove past Steve Irwin “The Crocodile Man” Australia Zoo (that will be another thing to do on my list) by the way it costs A$55.00 / 28 per adult So we stopped at the Glasshouse Mountains Visitor Centre and picked up a map of the local area as well as the dreamtime story involving the sea and land changes affecting the Mountains.
We got to the Glasshouse mountains! What a stunning place it was so peaceful the council has installed toilets as well as drinking water, we took a few photos, but it was only a flying visit as we wanted to see the gardens before they closed. We plan to go back another day and maybe do a meditation there!
Then November arrived and we sat and did full moon mediation in the garden taking some great moon pictures complete with orbs.
The next night we went to see ‘This is it’ the Michael Jackson movie I really enjoyed that. The following weekend I had booked to do the Don Tolman Boot Camp on the Gold Coast, I booked a room overlooking the ocean on the 13th floor the views were stunning. Have a look at (www.dontolmaninternational.com or You Tube for all his info on Health) what an amazing guy! I enjoyed the weekend very much. Jeff joined me later on Saturday so we had a lovely walk on the beach as the sun went down. I met up with him and his cousin Jan Sunday lunch time and had a meal, we decided to stay over another night and made the most of sitting on the beach just watching the ocean. Then it was my birthday I had reached a big birthday there were lots of cards and emails I was missing my family very much and I really felt homesick. There is nothing you can do with home sickness you just have to let it work through and then I was OK again. Jeff took me to Southbank with two friends to a Turkish restaurant along the river for a Birthday meal we had a lovely evening and I felt better.
When I got in I spoke to the family on Skype (where would I and millions of others be without it), where else can you talk and see your loved one free anywhere across the planet? Since my arrival in Australia Debra had now moved to Hervey Bay only 7 minutes to the beach and I was off to stay with her for 10 days. She picked me up on Sunday and 3 & 1/2 hours later we arrived and headed straight to the beach. Every day we meditated (that was good for me!) and at 6am we would take her dog and walk along the beach for over an hour sometimes meeting other doggie friends. So many people walking the beach early, even at that time of the morning the sun was warm! Then it was coffee time in a lovely bar overlooking the sea where we went every day (they gave you a nice mint chocolate as well)! I loved Hervey Bay but I didn’t realize I was carrying so much stress since my move here and leaving everyone and everything behind I was unwell for a few days, but by going to the ocean every day I was soon back on track and recharged my batteries. We went to a place called Tin Can Bay where you hand feed the dolphins more on that next time! I wish you all a Magical Christmas full of Love, Laughter and all the best for the New Year. Andrena x |
