StarGate Atlantis "Dr MacKay" meets Dr Who "Jo Grant"
Brisbane Town Hall, " Ithaca Auditorium" Saturday 6th November 2008

This wonderful afternoon of fun and frivolity was part of the Conquest 2008 weekend in Brisbane your host Melanie Teychenne-King (Scroll down for Melanie and her team) Guests were highly entertained by the very relaxed style of Katy Manning (who played Jo Grant in Dr Who the "Jon Pertwee"era) she spoke first with Sonny Whitelaw (Brisbane writer for the StarGate series in particular "City of the Gods" .. the story of the Belize Crystal Skull see photos on archives previous story 171008) and then of course David Hewlett who plays Dr Rodney Meredith Mackay .. it's from Katy's quirky questions that you get a great insight into the arts as a life and a career then a schools career officer could possible give you. David feed off Katy extremely well with one liners and antidotes that showed you how chemistry on stage can transfer to our still camera. "Who" knows perhaps David could be the next Dr Who.  Do yourself a favour and make a bee line should an event like this come to your part of the world ... remember to take extra money should you wish to participate in the memorabilia auctions - they are certainly lively events.
